As GObookings are currently providing services for government, medical, corporate entities and the business world in general, the issue of data security and privacy is very important and GObookings have implemented a combination of high-level security measures to protect your data. In addition to usual safeguards GObookings use firewall technology and 128/256-bit SSL encryption technology.
Data Transmission Security
When you or your customers use the system you are protected at all times by 128/256 bit SSL encryption which is normally only used when it comes to processing credit cards online. You will see the padlock security icon or https:// in the address bar appear in your browser window on all pages within the GObookings system . All credit card transactions are protected by the same 128/256-bit SSL encryption and are processed through an international standard payment gateway, ensuring maximum data protection.
To provide secured SMS services, GObookings use Australasia's largest commercial SMS provider, MessageMedia, an Australian based company with approximately 8000+ business clients including Australia's four major banking institutions, government and healthcare entities. Message Media provide a business-grade SMS service based on a high availability resilient/redundant platform and use encryption technology to safeguard customer data integrity. MessageMedia only use Tier-1 Australian carriers such as Telstra and Optus to ensure all our clients' phone numbers and message content is not passed to unreliable or potentially fraudulent third-parties.
GObookings take every precaution to protect user information. While GObookings use SSL encryption to protect information online, GObookings also do everything in their power to protect user-information off-line. All user information is restricted within GObookings offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, the billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All staff have signed Confidentiality Agreements.
AGIMO which is part of the federal Department of Finance produced the DCAAS MUL or Data Centre as a Service Multi Use List for use as a guide for government departments. Both GObookings and their secured server managers EMANTRA appear on this list as secured cloud services selected for Government use. GObookings servers are kept in an Australian located secured NEC Polaris data centre and are managed by Emantra. Emantra provides a high level of security which includes the Federal Government’s Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) Certified Internet Gateway for hardware, software and documentation. All GObookings system and client data remains within Australia on these secured servers.
